Summer is a time for a more relaxed format.
Volunteers deserve some time off.
Kids love the change too.

Super Sundays are an opportunity for kids to learn how adults in your church glorify God in their day to day lives. They not only hear the adults stories they experience the jobs, hobbies, sports fanaticism that the Triune God uses in these adults lives to get them out into the world so that He will be glorified.
Super Sundays are a unique Sunday A.M. experience for children entering grades 2-7. Super Sundays run through the summer months when kids are out of school, or traditionally would have been out of school.
While the kids love the fun hands-on experience we also want them to learn how the adults use their gift or talent to the glory of God.
The goals of Super Sundays are …
- Provide an opportunity for kids to grow closer to Jesus Christ.
- Challenge the kids each Sunday to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word.
- Create and atmosphere where significant relationships can be built between children and adults.
The elementary kids are offered electives for the summer.
Kids are given hands-on experiences as the adults share how God uses them to share His truth with others through this medium.
Some experiences kids have had in the past: an engineer taught the kids how to build a bridge out of popsicle sticks (it held a five pound weight), cooking classes, dough art, first aid, tying fish hooks, grooming a horse, playing volleyball, flower arranging.
I will never forget watching a child with brain cancer being carried around the horse and held up so he could help groom the horse. The look on his face was priceless.
The PRESENTERS commit to one Sunday, all services.
COUNSELORS commit to be with the kids every week for three months — they have no preparation. They are strictly crowd control and building relationships with the kids.
Super Sundays are another tool in the Sunday Plus philosophy which encourages all adults in the church to become involved, at one level or another, in the discipleship of the kids.
